Is Australia Following General Motors?

I have written an extended piece for Online Opinion on the demise of the American car-maker due to a failed economic strategy.  Relying on old polluting relics of the past isn’t very wise economic strategy for car-makers (ie the Hummer strategy).  I argue that Australia must not do the same by relying on old relics of the industrial revolution (old coal and oil) to grow prosperity for the new clean industrial revolution.  Comments welcome!
